Secret Plan To Make Online Gambling Legal, What?
Three U.S. House Republicans are objecting to what they call a “secretive, closed-door, undemocratic” effort in the Senate to pass legislation that would legalize and tax some Internet gambling before Congress adjourns this year.
I read this article tonight and find it hard to believe that the Democrats are holding secret meetings to pass online gambling when everyone is reporting about the secret meetings.
With that being said here's a good article on Bloomberg.com, the last days of the lame duck session and maybe, yes maybe still a chance for online gambling being taxed and legal inside the United States.
Getter done Harry Reid!

New Jersey Online Casino's
It looks like New Jersey might be the first U.S. state to legalize online casino gambling games. It also appears that the bill S490 should be up for a full Senate vote in the near future.
If this passes watch many states follow suit, enjoying the additional tax revenue. Looks like there might be new hope for U.S. online casino players after all, well maybe, time will tell.
Should be fun watching this unfold in N.J., stay tuned!

Player Verify Only .99 Cents Per Year
It's not a misprint! PlayerVerify.com the only central hub where online Player's can upload their personal ID documents, ACH forms among other requests to online Gaming sites has majorly reduced their full access fee.
Our site is in the beta stages says Mark Dalton, managing member of Player Verify. I think we came in somewhat high with our $9.95 per year full access fee so we're scaling back to a yearly fee of .99 cents.
Player's and Gaming sites now have full access to the Player Verify central hub for the low rate of .99 cents per year, hopefully stopping unsecure procedures such as e-mail, fax and mail for ID verification.
Player Verify does not verify Player documents. We're a secure hub where online Gamers can upload and share their personal information in a secure environment with online Gaming Web sites, the Gaming sites themselves will verify the documents inside our secure document hub.
Get onboard, remember if you're Gaming site doesn't accept Player Verify, request it!

More Internet privacy issues
Well I seriously doubt it's just Facebook with privacy issues since they're one of the largest networking sites on the net. If a company this size is having problems protecting data I can't imagine how big the problem really is throughout the world wide web!
Online Gamers should take every step possible to avoid privacy issues and their personal data from winding up in the wrong hands. Your data is being sold daily to advertisers along with other data gathering trades.
PlayerVerify is the only secure way to send ID documents to Gaming sites.

PlayNow.com Account Privacy & Security Procedures
Finally an Online Casino that understands e-mail and fax transmissions aren't secure and are requesting their players not to send personal information using these methods. This is exactly why PlayerVerify.com was created, to provide a secure hub where players can share their personal documents if requested by an I gaming website. Documents are normally requested for ID verification of the player.
To date many offshore I gaming sites still request personal information to be e-mailed or faxed for verification purposes and it's just not safe. Looks like PlayNow.com understands this but when will the others follow suit?

Online gambling should favor both Republicans and Democrats
Republicans and conservatives generally often argue that the government should not have the right to tell private individuals what behavior they may or may not engage in the privacy of their own home, so long as that activity doesn't infringe on the rights of others. As a voluntary, private activity, online gambling easily meets the criteria for government to leave it alone.

Why does Player Verify charge for its service?
I wanted to address some of the e-mails I've been receiving about our yearly fee of $9.95. Yes Player Verify does charge this fee but if you factor the days in a year our rate is only around 2 cents per day. Players can send as many ID or document verification requests to gaming sites as they want during the year at this rate. Faxing ID documents offshore can be costly and some gamers don't have fax machines so they go someplace like the UPS store and pay to fax them off. I've even read recently where some gaming sites request ID documents to be mailed. That's Crazy and the only half secure way to do this would be Fed X or another carrier that you can track. What's that going to cost you? So when looking at the overall picture Player Verify is cheap and your 2 cents per day will help us to stay online. :)
Player Verify also charges the same $9.95 fee per year to each gaming site who verifies their player documents through our secure site. Again for less than 2 cents per day an online gaming site can verify hundreds of players every day at a very low rate. If I operated a gaming site I'd cancel the fax line which I'm sure costs a pretty penny and start verifying players with the most secure system being offered on the net for 2 cents a day. Seems like a no brainer to me!
Finally, in order to keep our users honest a fee based system of some sort always works better than a free system. If Player Verify was free to all users then our system could be abused just as many free sites on the Internet are today. OK, I've addressed our site fee and if you have any comments please post below...
PlayNow.com opens for business in British Columbia
As reported by the Vancouver Sun money collected will go for Health Care, Education among other programs. With over 100 million dollars per year going to offshore gaming sites why wouldn't BC open their own Online Casino and keep some of that money at home? Many restrictions have been put in place such as player ID checking during signup but Player Verify can assure you at some point hard document verification will be needed to verify proof of age, address along with card information to discourage fraud.

Online Casinos should do more to protect Player documents.
In our opinion gaming sites are forgetting about players security when requesting player documents. To verify players most Online Casinos ask for a Government ID, Passport, Utility Bill, Credit Card Scans and whatever else they can think of to secure proof of a players identity. It's great Casino's are looking at ways to prevent Online Casino fraud but Online Casinos are forgetting about how they request these documents. It's simply please fax us your personal documents by an unsecure fax line. Don't dial the wrong number by mistake and we hope the line isn't hacked since most fax lines are not encrypted. Online Casinos also say please e-mail us your personal documents by e-mail. They should say unsecure e-mail as we all know e-mail isn't secure either. Don't type the wrong address by mistake when sending your personal gaming documents! Also, you don't know when or by whom your personal documents are received by the gaming site and if approved or denied until they decide to let you know, if ever. Player Verify stops all of this nonsense with our secure 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer encryption. You also know by whom and when your documents are being viewed and have a real-time log showing the data. There is NO better way providing online gaming documents other than PlayerVerify.com. We understand that most online gaming sites are in fact secure but as you can see not totally. By allowing thier players to provide gaming documents via PlayerVerify.com will fill a much needed security void within the online gaming industry.
